One Day Trips

We can organise one day trips or longer excursions according to your wish departing from our residence Land’s End. Here you can find a description of interesting places and also examples of excursions.

One day trips

SAFARI – Balabitiya. Departure in the morning with minibus, also boattrip through mangroves, visit of clove planations.

Visit of turtle farm – Balapitiya, manufactory of palm wine, original „Moon stone“ mines in Asia / Ambalangoda/. Return late afternoon.

YALA NATIONAL PARK – Departure 2am from Unawatuna by minibus. Trip along the southern coastline. At sunrise 6h30am arrival at national park YALA to observe animals (elephants). After breakfast at 10am visit of salt mines in Hambantota, rice fields, Dondra, ancient Hindu „Vishnu temple“, Buddha statue, Wewurukannala, Duth fortress Matara, fisher men village. Return in evening to Unawatuna.

RAIN FOREST SINHARAJA. Departure 6am, visit of jungle, waterfalls, ancient trees, apes…
